The route was based on materials from stages 12 and 13 of the extended GR123 route. During the implementation phase, the route was largely retained, with a few deviations, some of which were due to subjective preferences and the search for suitable overnight locations.
This way covers one of the least developed sections of the Basque coast, more or less continuous. One can still enjoy sections of untouched landscapes that pass one after another and plan a somewhat autonomous outdoor itinerary lasting several days.

The Romanesque-style Church of Mary Magdalene, dating from the 13th century.
The only visible element remaining of the medieval wall that once surrounded the town.
